No. You can upload your sewing pattern files and see the printing cost through our online ordering system. This makes it easy to check the price before completing your purchase.

Yes. You can upload multiple sewing pattern files and select the required quantity for each item. This allows you to order several different patterns within one transaction.

Yes. Simply select the number of copies required when adding the pattern to your order.

PDF is the recommended file format for sewing pattern printing because it preserves the original page size, layout and scale. Please upload the copy-shop or large-format PDF supplied by the pattern designer wherever possible.

We can also accept selected image file formats, but PDF files are strongly recommended for the most accurate results.

Upload the A0 or copy-shop version when you want your pattern printed as a full-size large-format sheet. The A4 tiled version is normally intended for printing at home and requires the individual pages to be trimmed or taped together.

A copy-shop file is a large-format PDF designed to be printed on larger sheets such as A0 or A1. Pattern designers may describe this file as “A0”, “copy shop”, “large format” or “wide format”.

Yes, but please make sure the required size layers are visible before uploading the file. Unless agreed otherwise, we will print the file exactly as supplied and will not choose or remove pattern-size layers on your behalf.

We print sewing pattern files as supplied and do not routinely alter pattern layers or remove individual sizes. Please save a new PDF containing only the layers you require before uploading it.

Please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order. If printing has not started, we may be able to replace the file. Once production has begun, it may not be possible to change or cancel the item.

Files can be uploaded directly through our order page with a maximum file size of 120mb. If your file is too large to upload, please contact us and we will advise you on the best way to send it.

We offer sewing pattern printing in A0, A1, A2, A3 and A4 sizes. The correct size will normally be shown within the pattern file name or in the pattern designer’s printing instructions.

A0 paper measures 841 mm × 1189 mm. It is one of the most common formats used for full-size PDF sewing patterns.

Some sewing patterns use oversized pages that do not match a standard A-series sheet size. Please contact us before ordering if your file is wider or longer than A0 so we can confirm whether it can be printed and how it should be ordered.

Yes. Sewing pattern files are printed at 100% or actual size unless clearly agreed otherwise. This preserves the measurements contained within the original PDF.

We normally print sewing patterns at the size supplied in the PDF. Enlarging or reducing a pattern can alter seam allowances, measurements and fit, so we recommend using the correct file supplied by the pattern designer.

We print files at 100% scale, but customers remain responsible for supplying the correct pattern file and checking the designer’s test square after delivery. We do not manually inspect every pattern or confirm the dimensions of every test square before production.

Sewing patterns are printed onto 90 gsm white paper, providing clear line definition while remaining easy to handle, trace and cut.

Yes. You can select black-and-white or colour printing when ordering. Black-and-white is suitable for most standard sewing patterns, while colour printing may be helpful for files that use coloured lines, layered markings or colour-coded pattern pieces.

Yes. If colour is used to distinguish different sizes, markings or pattern pieces, we recommend selecting colour printing. Choosing black-and-white may make some lines harder to identify.

Sewing instructions can be printed if they are included as a separate file and added to your order in the appropriate paper size. Large-format pattern sheets and instruction booklets may need to be added as separate print items.

Large-format pattern files are printed without the need to tile and tape multiple home-print pages together. Before cutting fabric, always check the test square and review the pattern designer’s instructions.

Customers are responsible for supplying the correct file, selecting the correct paper size and confirming that the required pattern layers are visible. Pattern Press prints the submitted file at the selected settings but cannot verify the accuracy or completeness of the original pattern design.

We print the file according to the dimensions contained within the PDF. If the original file has been created incorrectly, printing at 100% will reproduce that error. For this reason, we recommend purchasing patterns from reputable designers and checking the test square before cutting fabric.

We deliver throughout the UK. Delivery options and charges are shown during checkout, and additional charges may apply to certain locations.

Most orders are dispatched within 1 working day. During especially busy periods or for larger orders, production may take slightly longer.

Delivery times depend on the service selected during checkout and begin once the order has been printed and dispatched. Any delivery estimate is separate from our production time.

Depending on the selected delivery option, patterns may be supplied folded or rolled. The available options will be shown when ordering.

Collection may be available from our production location by prior arrangement. Please contact us before ordering to confirm availability.

Where tracking is included with the selected delivery service, tracking details will be sent after your order has been dispatched.

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. Because each item is printed specifically from your supplied file, changes or cancellations may not be possible once production has started.

Please contact us promptly and include your order number, photographs of the packaging and clear photographs showing the damage. We will review the issue and advise you on the next steps.

First, measure the test square included within the pattern using a physical ruler. If it does not match the stated measurement, contact us with your order number, photographs of the test square and details of the expected size. Do not cut into the pattern or begin using it until the issue has been reviewed.

Sewing patterns are printed specifically from files supplied by each customer. As a result, they may not be eligible for return simply because they are no longer required. This does not affect your rights if the printing is faulty, damaged or does not match your order.
